This year the Liberty Lions donated enough canned goods and non-perishable food to the Community Closet, that they were able to provide 88 baskest of food to families in the area.
In addition the club has presented the community Closet with a check for $500 to help operate the Closet.

Recently the Shelbyville Liberty Lions Club donated $500.00 to First Choice Pregnancy Counseling Center of Shelbyville. In the Picture is on the left, Rebecca Webb of First Choice Pregnancy, and David Renegar of the Liberty Lions Club making the presentation.

(2008) With the old steps badly in need of repair, the club decided to fund a project for repair of steps and work needed in the kitchen. Thanks to the efforts of Lions Bob Finney and Larry Brown we now have a great new and safe back enterance.

Cleanup day, Saturday, October 4th at the club was a great success with ten members and spouses helping out. A major clean-up in kitchen was accomplished by Doris, Wanda, Veita Jo and assisted by larry Larry Hames and Joe Hampton.

Outside projects included brush cutting and spraying, trash clean-up and cutting of low hanging branches.  Thank-you goes out the following for their hard work:  Larry & Wanda Hames, Alvis & Dorris Turrentine, Joe & Veita Jo Hampton, Brent P., Bob Finney, Brent Davison and Larry Brown. A big thanks to those who helped with the clean-up.

Humanitarian investment pays spiritual dividends

This seems like a worthy cause that is struggling to get up and running to provide services and help to all those in need at no cost to them, I believe we should support them

Recently Lion Joe DaCosta fell and factured his leg, he found it very difficult to get up the steps to his home.
Hearing of his plight, Lions Brent Davidsion & Freddie Pimentel came to his aid and quickly built a ramp so that Lion Joe can more easily get into his home.
Thanks to Lions!

HOW TO RECEIVE SERVICE FROM

 MIDDLE TENNESSEE LIONS SIGHT SERVICE

Enclosed is the application form you will need to complete when sponsoring a patient to the Middle Tennessee Lions Sight Service, Inc.  The financial guidelines to qualify for our service are also included.

The interviewing Lion should meet with the patient and complete the form totally, click this link for the form: then contact the Middle Tennessee Lions Sight Service Office. click this link for the application form:

It is important that you fill out the form completely.  Mail the completed form to the Middle Tennessee Lions Sight Service.  We will make the appointment and notify the Interviewing Lion and the patient my mail regarding the date and time of appointment.  The patient’s first visit to the Tennessee Lions Eye Center at Vanderbilt is for evaluation purposes ONLY; please do not expect surgery unless it is a dire emergency.  The medical staff at Vanderbilt makes the medical decision when and if surgery is needed. Please remember, MTLSS funds should only be used as a last resource and then only to prevent complete loss of sight.

Middle Tennessee Lions Sight Service depends on Lions Clubs contributions to White Cane Funds to continue providing eye care to the people of District 12-I and 12-S.  Special donations and memorials also allow us to do a little extra to help.  All donations received marked for Low Vision will go into that special line item account and will be used for low vision only. Additional fundraising by Lions Clubs is a must to continue the

quality of service we continue to give to Lions Clubs allowing them to serve

their local communities.

Middle Tennessee Lions Sight Service appreciates your assistance and your continued financial support.
